MEOWSTERPIECES 2025 REGISTRATION
Save Our Cats and Kittens (SOCKS) is pleased to announce a call for artists for our second annual Meowsterpieces art show and competition.
This show’s theme is feline, a celebration of all things cat, from their beauty and agility, to their independence and playfulness. The great Leonardo da Vinci once said, “the smallest feline is a masterpiece.”
We invite all art styles, including painting, drawing, mixed media, digital, fiber, textile, sculpture, photography, video, sound art, kinetic art and performance. The work must be the artist’s own and will be put up for auction by SOCKS after the competition.
Artists may enter UP TO THREE PIECES FOR ONE ENTRY FEE OF $25.
DEADLINE FOR ENTRY IS SEPTEMBER 5, 2025.
There are four age categories. There are two judging methods: A guest juror and People’s Choice.
We are honored to have J. Wren Supak as the guest juror. Supak is the Director & Curator of Mattie Kelly Arts Center Galleries at Northwest Florida State College.
People’s Choice winners will be determined by an online pay-to-vote system. $1 = 1 vote.
Trophies will be awarded to first-, second-, and third-place finishers in each age category and judging method. So there will be 12 winners determined by our guest juror, and 12 winners in People’s Choice. The artwork may win in both judging methods.
Works will be displayed from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays from September 12, 2025, to October 3, 2025, in the SOCKS event building. An awards presentation and reception will be from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. October 11.
SUBMITTED ART WILL BE AUCTIONED ONLINE AFTER THE EXHIBITION, WITH PROCEEDS BENEFITING SOCKS.
